Bedrock creative grant

A call for creative projects

This December, we're launching a little something called Pulp Friction.

Three Saturdays in Chamonix dedicated to mountain education and culture.

The idea is pretty simple.
We wanted to create something that brings together two sides of mountain life that we love: the practical stuff, like learning how to move more safely and confidently in the mountains, and the creative stuff, like movies, stories, art and the people behind them.

So, together with our friends at Klättermusen and The Roster, we're putting together a series of workshops, mountain safety sessions, film screenings, conversations and some good parties!

And because we didn't want Pulp Friction to be just about watching other people's projects and listening to their stories, we thought we'd give someone the chance to create their own.

We all have that one project sitting somewhere in the back of our minds. The movie we'd love to make, the expedition we've been talking about for years, the photography book that never quite made it past the moodboard.

Not because we don't want to do it. More often because we're missing the money, the resources, the right people, or a little push to get started.

That's where the grant comes in.

We're looking for creative ideas rooted in mountain culture. Movies, photography, writing, art, expeditions, community projects, or something completely different.

It doesn't have to involve a world first, a record-breaking ascent or an extraordinary athletic achievement. We're just as interested in the small stories, unusual perspectives and ideas that make us look at the mountains a little differently.

And you certainly don't have to be a professional to apply.

Which brings us to the Pulp Friction Creative Grant.

How to apply?

Tell us about your idea in whatever way feels right to you. A video, a document, a letter, a presentation, a few sketches… we're not too fussy about the format. Get creative! We just want to understand what you'd love to make, why it matters to you and how a little help could bring it to life.

Send your application to ellam.bedrock@gmail.com before November 30th, 2026.

Want to contribute?

The more we raise, the more we can give to help bring someone's idea to life! If you or your company would like to contribute to the creative grant, whether it's a little or a lot, we'd love to have you on board. Every contribution goes towards supporting the winning project and giving it the best possible start.
