A few days of ski touring in the mountains we call home. Think mornings heading uphill, picnics with a view, and afternoons back at the chalet with something good to eat. A little yoga, time to yourself, and evenings around the dinner table or out in Chamonix.

We’ve put together this camp to share some of our favourite things about living here. The skiing, of course, but also the people, the food, and everything that happens once the skis come off.

at a glance

Where: Chamonix, France
When: 17–21 March 2027
Stay: Four nights in a local chalet
Skiing: Four outings, including a shorter final day
Yoga: Two sessions at the chalet
Food: Daily chalet breakfasts, mountain picnics, food after skiing, two chef-prepared dinners, a pizza evening, and time around the table in town.

to note: This is a ski touring camp focused on beautiful days out in Chamonix. We won’t be travelling on glaciers or doing technical ski mountaineering involving ropes or climbing.

our home for the week

We’ll stay together in a local chalet, our base for four nights. Breakfast every morning before heading out, food waiting when we get back, and space to settle in between mountain days.

Two evenings, a chef will join us to cook dinner at home. Another will be all about pizza and a relaxed evening together. And on our last night, we’ll head into town for a closing dinner.

out in the mountains

We’ll head out on skis each day, exploring different routes around the Chamonix valley. Taking our time on the way up, stopping for a picnic in the mountains, and enjoying the descent together.

Expect around 500–1,000 metres of ascent on our main touring days, followed by a shorter outing on Sunday. The routes and rhythm of each day will depend on the weather, snow conditions, and the group.

Back at the chalet, there’ll be yoga on Thursday and Friday, something to eat, and time to read, rest, or wander into town.

is this camp for you?

This camp is for skiers who have already tried ski touring and have experience skiing off-piste.

You should feel confident skiing in varied snow conditions, including snow that isn’t perfect powder, and be comfortable spending several hours walking uphill with your touring equipment. You’ll need the fitness to manage consecutive days in the mountains, with up to around 1,000 metres of ascent.

We’ll make time for breaks and enjoy the days together, but previous experience and a good level of fitness are essential.
