An introduction to ice climbing, supervised by a high mountain guide.
This outing is designed for climbers and mountaineers who want to discover ice climbing in a safe, progressive, and supportive environment.
The focus is on learning the fundamentals: use of technical equipment (ice axes, crampons), basic movement on ice, rope handling, belaying techniques, and safety management. The session will take place on a suitable icefall selected according to conditions and group level, with time dedicated to practice and progression.– possible extension: depending on conditions and group level, the outing may be extended with a longer route or a multi-pitch introduction to ice climbing.
(depending on conditions, this will be confirmed prior to the event)
